Textiles | Creating Landscapes with Felting Techniques | Denise Lithgow
An inspiring textile/felting workshop for students who want to try something a little different. In this fun one day workshop you will design and create a landscape inspired 2D hanging artwork using textiles rather than paint. Students will use pure merino wool, felting techniques and added fabrics to bring a favourite landscape/seascape scene to life. Denise will guide you through the design and creation process introducing you to techniques and materials.
Denise Lithgow is one of Australia’s leading textile artists. Her 2-D felt pictures and sculptured felt vessels are colourful, vibrant semi abstracts which are inspired by her love of the landscape. Denise exhibits regularly in solo and group exhibitions nationally and internationally, has won many prizes, is published regularly at home and abroad and continues to search for new forms of expression.
