Do you want to explore abstract painting but don’t know where to start? Do you want to develop a more expressive and looser approach to your painting? In this new term course, students will learn methods and techniques to approach abstract painting and learn to loosen up. Students will learn about renowned abstract artists (historical and contemporary) and explore how they can use music, printing, collage and colour to create colourful, layered and vibrant but cohesive abstract images. We are pleased to present this new course with Art Est. tutor Julia Flanagan who has developed a reputation for her layered and whimsical explorations of paint and colour in acrylics.
